Ah, Spring. The birds, the flowers, the sunshine, the PINK WINE. That’s right, people - this season is all about the arrival of refreshing rosés and all those special sunny moments on the porch, chilled glass in hand. Read on to learn about the first (of our many) rosé picks for the season!

2020 Donkey and Goat Isabel’s Cuvée

Named for the daughter of winemakers Jared and Tracey Brandt, this special rosé is made from the oldest plantings of Grenache Gris in the country! The grapes are grown on gravelly and sandy loam soil in Mendocino County, and the juice sees four months of neutral oak barrel aging. The final product is an unfiltered, unfined rosé with a round mouthfeel, a dense texture, and tangy notes of strawberries, guava, kiwi, and rosewater.

2020 Château de Roquefort 'Corail' Côtes de Provence

Who doesn’t love a Provençal rosé? Year after year, Corail delivers perfumed, floral aromas and herbaceous, peachy flavors. This wine is a biodynamic blend of the usual Provençal grapes (Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and more) with the addition of a few new stars including Vermentino, a white grape that thrives in the Mediterranean climate. Pair this stunner with the soft little goaty, Chabichou du Poitou.

2020 Christina Zweigelt Rosé

Christina Netzl is one of Austria's top young winemakers specializing in the Zweigelt grape. Her rosé has an intense minerality, mild acidity, and mellow notes of watermelon and underripe raspberries, making it a very versatile food wine. Pair with anything off the grill - we recommend sipping it alongside an open faced steak sandwich with everyone’s favorite cheese, Aussie Magic.
